Most parents have the tendency to take upon them the role of policeman, prosecutor and judge. And this all in one person!! When there is conflict between parents and children, the parent by definition has the last word and is always right. What hidden messages does the child receive in this conduct of behavior? Is it surprising that the child copies this role model and starts bullying other children? This is what they learned at home: I am the boss. As parents we want our children to be responsible, independant, understanding, wise, honest, etc. The list is endless. And in our behavior we show them the exact opposite. This business of giving your children mixed messages is highly confusing. Find out more about communication that is honest, comes from the heart and keeps us on equal ground.
